Project Background
In 2026, Zhengzhou Wangu Machinery Co., Ltd. delivered the core drying system for the Jinshahe Agricultural Service Center in Suiping County, Zhumadian, Henan Province, China — a project with a total investment of RMB 520 million that integrates grain purchasing, storage, drying and processing in one facility. The system features 3 sets of 1,000 TPD heat pump grain drying towers, supporting the center's total daily drying capacity of 5,000 tonnes, covering tens of thousands of mu (thousands of hectares) of surrounding farmland. From groundbreaking to full commissioning, the project took only 105 days — proof that large-scale green drying can be built fast and run reliably.
Main Features
① Heat Pump Heat Source: the Green Core of the System
• Zero-emission drying: the tower is driven by electricity through an air-source heat pump — no combustion, so no exhaust gas, no dust, no solid waste. It fully aligns with global low-carbon and carbon-neutral policies.
• Real energy savings: the heat pump absorbs heat from ambient air and converts each kWh of electricity into several times more drying heat (high COP). According to data cited by China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, air-source heat pump drying can cut operating time to about half that of conventional drying and reduce running costs by over 80% versus fuel-fired dryers and over 50% versus coal-fired dryers.
• A breakthrough at scale: air-source heat pump drying was long limited to small dryers in warm southern regions. Wangu has successfully applied it to 1,000 TPD class large continuous tower dryers in the northern wheat belt — proven performance at industrial scale.
• Intrinsically safe: no open flame, no fuel storage, no fire or explosion risk, suitable for unattended automated operation.
② Low-Temperature Drying for Premium Grain Quality
• Scientifically controllable drying temperature with segmented drying + tempering (conditioning) process — moisture is removed uniformly at low temperature.
• Effectively prevents cracked kernels, breakage and scorching common in traditional high-temperature drying.
• Maximally preserves the nutrients, natural color and germination value of the grain, safeguarding its commodity grade and market price.
③ Intelligent Control, Truly Unattended
• Wangu's self-developed intelligent control system monitors grain moisture and ambient temperature/humidity in real time and adjusts drying parameters fully automatically.
• One-touch operation easily handles high-moisture wheat at harvest and changeable weather (overcast, rain, heat), removing the traditional bottlenecks of limited drying grounds and mold risk.
④ Continuous Operation at Industrial Capacity
• Continuous-flow tower design enables 24-hour, high-efficiency drying — a single tower handles up to 1,000 tonnes per day.
• Coordinated multi-tower operation easily absorbs the peak pressure of centralized harvest-season drying.
⑤ Tower Structure: Compact, Stable, Low Civil Cost
• Multi-layer internal structure ensures full and uniform heat exchange between the grain bed and hot air — no blockage, no dead zones.
• Even-feeding mechanism distributes grain uniformly across the full cross-section for consistent moisture removal.
• Outdoor installation — no large building required, saving land and civil works, ideal for grain depots and processing plants.
⑥ Multi-Crop Versatility
• Suitable for wheat, corn, paddy rice, soybeans and other grains; drying temperature and time are adjustable per crop and initial moisture content.
Application Fields
| Application | Typical Users | Why It Fits |
|---|---|---|
| Grain reserves & purchasing stations | National/local grain depots, purchasing points | Large capacity meets peak-season centralized drying; dry grain goes into storage "without touching the ground" |
| Flour mills & grain processing plants | Flour, noodle, feed and food-processing enterprises (e.g., Jinshahe Group) | Secures quality raw material supply; low-temperature drying protects milling quality |
| Agricultural service centers | County/township farmer service centers | Socialized drying service for tens of thousands of mu of farmland; serves smallholders and large growers alike |
| Large farms & cooperatives | Family farms, planting cooperatives, estate farms | Early harvest, early drying, early planting; minimizes harvest-season losses |
| Seed processing | Seed companies, seed stations | Low-temperature drying preserves seed germination and vigor |
| Feed & food raw materials | Feed mills, grain traders | Consistent moisture and color raise commodity value |
| Export & overseas projects | Grain belts in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, Latin America | Clean electric energy source suits regions with strict emission rules or scarce fuel supply |
