Integrated drying tempering and cooling for efficient grain quality assurance

The WGH series continuous drying tower is a high-capacity continuous grain drying machine developed by Zhengzhou Wangu Machinery Co., Ltd. for large grain depots, grain purchasing and distribution centers, grain processing enterprises and large-scale planting bases. Built as a vertical tower structure, grain is continuously loaded from the top and moves downward through multiple drying sections, tempering sections and a cooling section in sequence, operating continuously without interruption to achieve a flow-line drying process of feeding, drying and discharging at the same time. The equipment steadily handles bulk grain types including paddy rice, wheat, corn, soybean and sorghum, serving both commercial and seed grain, and is core equipment for large-scale post-harvest grain processing.

The WGH series continuous drying tower emphasizes high capacity, continuous operation and uninterrupted loading and discharging, making it more suited to large-scale production scenarios with substantial daily throughput. With its sturdy structure, even air distribution and stable drying quality, and supported by bucket elevators and conveying equipment for fully automatic continuous grain flow from the top inlet to the bottom outlet, it is an ideal choice for upgrading mid-size grain depots and for large grain distribution centers.

Drying Process

The WGH series continuous drying tower employs a multi-layer drying-tempering-cooling continuous process. After grain is loaded from the top, it moves downward continuously by gravity, passing successively through multiple drying sections where high-volume hot air penetrates the grain layer diagonally to remove moisture gently layer by layer. After each drying stage, the grain enters a tempering section to rest, allowing internal moisture to migrate to the surface and balance out, eliminating moisture gradients. It finally enters the cooling section to exchange heat with ambient air and lower the grain temperature close to the environment. The whole process is continuous, stable and pause-free, delivering high throughput with relatively balanced energy consumption.

The hot-air temperature is automatically set according to the grain type and inlet moisture; multi-layer low-temperature steady drying avoids shell bursting and cracking caused by thermal shock. An online moisture-monitoring system continuously checks the outlet moisture and automatically fine-tunes the discharge rate and hot-air parameters to lock in the target moisture. The discharged grain needs no secondary sun-drying and can be bagged and stored directly, meeting the requirements of commercial grain sales and long-term storage.

Structural Composition

·         Top loading and spreading device: continuous quantitative feeding with automatic leveling for a uniform grain layer.

·         Multi-layer drying sections: high-volume hot air penetrates the grain layers diagonally for gentle layer-by-layer dehumidification.

·         Multi-layer tempering sections: independent tempering space for full internal moisture migration and balancing.

·         Cooling section: ambient air exchanges heat with the grain to cool it close to ambient temperature.

·         Continuous discharge mechanism: quantitative continuous discharge at the bottom with adjustable rate for stable drying time.

·         Elevating, conveying and heating systems: bucket elevators, scrapers and a multi-fuel heating system support continuous operation.

Key Features

·         Continuous operation and high output: feeding, drying and discharging run side by side around the clock for high throughput.

·         Multi-layer low-temperature care for quality: steady low-temperature drying without thermal shock keeps kernels intact and protects germination.

·         Uniform and stable drying: even air distribution without dead zones and multi-layer tempering remove moisture discrepancies for consistent batches.

·         Multi-fuel compatibility for better efficiency: covering mainstream fuels and selectable by regional energy and environmental requirements.

·         Sturdy and weather-ready: thickened anti-corrosion tower with insulation resists wind and rain for long-term outdoor operation.

·       Simple to operate and maintain: with reliable core components, it quickly switches among paddy, wheat, corn and other grains.

Packaging & Warranty

The equipment is shipped nude-packed with reinforced protection; motors, electrical controls and sensing elements are individually packed and treated against moisture, shock and collision, suitable for long-haul road transport. Customized packaging solutions are available on request. Products are manufactured strictly under the ISO quality management system; each unit undergoes no-load commissioning, loaded drying tests and parameter calibration before leaving the factory. The main frame, drying tower body and transmission system carry a 12-month warranty, supported by lifetime technical consultation, remote guidance, installation and commissioning, troubleshooting and long-term supply of genuine spare parts to ensure stable operation. Minimum order quantity: 1 unit; delivery lead time: 45–60 days.
